With the holidays just around the corner, time is running out to get a handle on each little preparation before the family all comes to town. Whatever you’re celebrating, nothing is a bigger gift
Prepare Your Home For Cold Weather
With Summer having turned into Fall, it’s time to start accepting the idea that cold weather is on the way! Already, North Carolina has experienced some cold fronts. When the cold finally sets in, you need to make sure you’re prepared all season long! Here’s a few ways to stay on top of utility bills and house maintenance this Fall and Winter:
Maintain Plumbing: Making sure all of the water is out of any outdoor faucets or hoses is vital. No one likes dealing with a pipe bursting, causing flooding in your home.
Stay Warm: Have a fireplace in your home? Before the cold sets in, make sure you have a professional inspect it prior to turning it on. Check the cleanliness as well.
Seal Any Leaks: Like our last blog, make sure to seal any leaks around door frames and windows. This can help insulate your home, and save the energy you’re using to heat up the home as well.
Do all of these steps and you’re on your way to a well insulated and functional home! Happy Fall from The Rodney Carroll Team!
